- Handling my class.
- Instead of doing the lectures the whole time, I will just discuss the important points of the lecture briefly and ask the class to do an output and to present the output to the class next meeting.
- Another thing is I will encourage them to answer the questions that I will ask the class during discussions and tell them that it doesn’t matter if their answer is right or wrong and what they need to do is express their ideas and opinions the best way they can.
- I will also a lot around 10-15 minutes after every lesson for them to ask me some questions and clarifications regarding the topic discussed. It will also be interactive and if there is a need I can a lot more time to the question and answer portion.
- I will ask my students to do a reading about certain topics which would vary from one student to another and ask them to report what they have learned to the class. If there is a missing point I could fill it in after the reporter is done presenting her report.
- I could also do some activities that will involve speaking and listening among the students inside my class such as debate and an open discussion of a certain topic.
- Encouraging my co-teachers to listen to their students.
